We are pleased to announce that the BMFA Scale FF Nationals will be taking place over the weekend of the 29th and 30th June at BMFA Buckminster as part of Festival of Scale (see poster below).

Festival of Scale is a celebration of all things scale aeromodelling so is an appropriate event for the Scale FF Nationals to be part of.

Mike Smith, Scale Technical Committee, (STC), Rules Officer and FF Competition Advisor with be Contest Director, (CD), for the Scale FF Nationals.

Competitions will take place in the following classes:

  • Scale FF Outdoor Open (I/C Powered) – Superscale Trophy
  • Scale FF Outdoor Open (Rubber Powered) – Model Flier Trophy
  • Scale FF Outdoor Open (CO2/Electric/Compressed Air/Reaction Motors) – Knight & Pridham Trophy

Static judging will take place during the daytime of the 29th and 30th June, with flying commencing in the evening, at around 18:00 hours, with 3 rounds of flying in each class taking place over each day. Mike has indicated however, that depending on the weather conditions and competitor numbers, that this may change.

An electronic form has been created to enable competitors to enter on-line; the fee for each class being £10.00.

The FF Scale Nationals always proves to be an popular event for both competitors and spectators alike so why not come along and see the best of Scale FF aeromodelling in the U.K, in the skies over BMFA Buckminster on the 29th and 30th June.
