Eddie Riding Montage At long last the historic Eddie Riding competition is being revived, this year as part of the Retro Fest at the National Centre. There will be 4 other scale free flight classes:- I/C, CO2/Electric, Rubber, and Reaction (Jetex/Rapier/ducted fan) all flown to BMFA rules, as well as the Eddie Riding for his 8 model designs (see montage). Rules for the Eddie Riding have been circulated to all those on the free flight scale database but additional copies are available from Bill Dennis (see committee contacts). Competitors are not required to provide any documentation for the Eddie Riding competition as models are judged against the original plan. However, scale documentation is required for the other BMFA classes.
There will be trimming time available all of Friday and all Saturday subject to a couple of RC slots when no FF will be flown. Two slots of competition flying will be done on Saturday – 1.00 pm and 6.00 pm – each of 3 flights, allowing 6 flights in total.
Static judging will start on Friday for those competitors already there but will continue throughout Saturday for those attending for only 1 day.
