Those attending the Lodge Farm Free Flight Scale Day on Sunday 21st May 2023 experienced a day of almost perfect flying conditions.
Event Contest Director Mike Smith said, “We were very lucky with the wind direction as we were shielded by the trees surrounding the field. Attendance was lower than normal but the 12+ mph wind speed forecast might have deterred some fliers from coming along; unfortunately those not attending missed out on a cracking day of flying!”.
Mike also offered his thanks to both Chris Chapman and Philip Smith for flight judging on the day.
The results from the competitions held at Lodge Farm, (scale flying only and kit-scale precision), will be uploaded to the BMFA Competition results portal shortly.
