Martin Pike, winner in CO2/Electric for 2023! Congratulations on your first podium place Martin, hopefully the first of many!
Repeating his 2022 victory in the same class, Bill Dennis took first place in Scale Open Rubber with his fine-flying Bucker Jungmann.
Chris Brainwood was in second place in Scale Open Rubber with his elegant Miles Falcon. Chris equalled Bill’s best flight score and only static markings separated first and second places!
Third place in Scale Open Rubber was taken by Pete Fardell flying his Bleriot XI that in defiance of the high Luffenham winds majestically cavorted around the sky in realistic fashion.
Bill Dennis also took first place in Scale Open I/C with his RE8. Bill’s model flew out of sight which resulted in a long retrieval, with both Martin Pike and Andrew Hewitt helpfully assisting in locating the model. An anonymous Free-Flight “Sage” offered Bill the helpful advice that,” You probably put too much fuel in the tank for that last flight!”.
Second in Scale Open I/C with his realistic Bristol Scout was Andrew Hewitt.
And in third place in Scale Open I/C with his impressive DH4 was the event CD, Mike Smith!
