Dear All,
With the aim of improving the performance of our F4C and F4H National Teams the STC has revised the process that will be used to select our teams for the 2020 FAI F4 World Championships. A copy of the new selection process is held on here under Competition News. You will also find it in the 2019 BMFA Scale Contest Rule Book – Annex 6A page 94.
In addition to the changes in the selection process, the STC has appointed Graham Kennedy as ‘Coach’ to prepare potential team members for the 2020 World Championships. In this role he will be working closely with Stephen Kessel, our Team Manager at the last three world championships. For the coaching to be effective we need all potential team members to declare their interest as soon as possible. Declaring an interest is not a definite commitment, but it will greatly assist Graham and Steve in their planning. For this reason please download a copy of the Team Application Form (held in Scale News, then first tab Competition News). So, if you are interested in trying for a place on either (or both) of the teams please fill out the form and send it to the STC Secretary, Mike Stuart at ffscale@googlemail.com as soon as possible.
One last thing, if you do not feel that you could be ready for 2020 but have the ambition to be a team member one day, please still declare an interest. If successful, we want this to become an ongoing system to build experience and talent for the future.
With Best Regards,
Andy Sephton
Chairman BMFA Scale Technical Committee
